That came down to a deliberate use of the Astro framework for static generation, thorough image optimisation, CDN deployment, and lean GSAP animation. Instead of a traditional loader, we built a lightweight approach that reveals each project image independently as it loads, with subtle motion. The custom image slider is built for performance and smooth motion. Powered by native CSS transforms, it delivers a seamless infinite loop. Previous and next slides stay partly in view for context, while project details sit elegantly to the right.

A Sveltia CMS integration hands the client full control over their content. Its clean interface makes managing projects and copy effortless. With the DeepL API wired in, content translates automatically from the primary language, taking the pain out of running multiple language versions.
